The Fedorova &
Piano Duo

"performances by the Fedorova and Takser duo take us back to the days of legendary piano duos such as Vronsky and Babin, as well as Josef and Rosina Lhevinne..." -

The Vancouver Chopin Society

The Fedorova&Takser Piano Duo is one of the most creative, inspiring and virtuosic piano ensembles across Canada.

The Duo is well known by their innovative projects, such as "Classical music in 3D" at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory run by the Artnovi Space, "Filming classics with drone" in collaboration with famous movie director D.Vardanyan (Netflix) or “Virtual Recital” for The Vancouver Chopin Society, which was filmed and edited by musicians themselves during the pandemic lockdown.

Among upcoming projects, three CD's: The Complete Set of Rachmaninov's works for Piano ensemble", "Complete Brahms Duets" and "Jazz Album" featured masterpieces written by N.Kapustin and A.Rosenblatt.

Active performing musicians, as well as inspiring teachers and mentors, Ilya Takser and Daria Fedorova graduated from the prestigious College of the Moscow State Conservatory and the Montreal Conservatory.

Both pianists were invited by renowned Canadian pianist and pedagogue Richard Raymond (teacher of the XVIII International Chopin Competition Winner Bruce Liu) to study at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal.

Upon completing their Master’s degrees in 2013 with the highest distinction, they shared the Grand-Prix of the “Concours”, a unanimous decision by the jury members after their final recitals. Many of their performances at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal have been recorded and played on the radio.

Recent notable engagements include the Russian-Chinese Concert Tour, Master-Classes in Guangzhou, Moscow, St-Petersburg among many other cities of China and Russia, the performance of their own original transcription of Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" for two pianos (World Premiere) and "Carnival of the Animals" by C. Saint-Saens at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, judging some International Music Competitions, giving master-classes, and recitals throughout Canada and abroad.

In 2014 Ilya Takser and Daria Fedorova settled in Vancouver and founded The Fedorova & Takser Piano Studio – the school that produced a bunch of National and International Piano Competition winners and keeping providing high quality music education till today.

In 2020 The Fedorova&Takser Piano Duo have signed a contract with Manhattan Concert Artists Management, which is officially representing them worldwide.
