Fedorova&Takser Piano Duo is one of the most unique and outstanding piano ensembles across Canada. Graduated with the highest distinction from the Montreal Conservatory, they are widely known not only as musicians but also as music inspirators, art advisors, founders of the Fedorova & Takser Piano Studio – the school that produced a bunch of National and International Piano Competition winners.
Their recent projects, such as "Classical music in 3D" at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory or "Filming classics with drone" in collaboration with famous movie director D.Vardanyan (Netflix) were called revolutionary and innovative and were warmly met and highly appreciated by the audience.
One could say of the Fedorova & Takser piano duet: "they do everything together." Both were born in Russia, both graduated from the prestigious College of the Moscow State Conservatory name of P.Tchaikovsky in 2009.
In 2011 Daria Fedorova and Ilya Takser were fortunate to be selected by renown Canadian pianist Richard Raymond to study with him at one of the best performing schools of Canada the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal.

They completed their Master's degrees in 2013, both graduating with the highest distinction (a unanimous decision by the jury after their final recitals), shared the Grand-Prix of the "Concours". Many of their performances at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montreal have been recorded and played on the radio.
Daria and Ilya are recipients of grants and scholarships, winners of the top prizes in various Solo and Piano Ensembles International Competitions.
Having played together since their time at the Moscow Conservatory, Daria and Ilya have accumulated a diverse repertoire from Mozart and Schubert to Bartok, Lutoslawski and contemporary composers A.Rosenblatt, D.L. McIntyre and R. Piana, and many others including their own original transcriptions for two pianos.
Recent notable engagements include the Russian-Chinese Concert Tour in 2017, Master-Classes in Guangzhou, Moscow, St-Petersburg among many other cities of China and Russia, the performance of their own original transcription of Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" for two pianos and "Carnival of the Animals" by C. Saint-Saens at the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory, judging some International Music Competitions, giving master-classes, and recitals throughout Canada and abroad.
